Trying to update things amongst everything else that is going on in my life. I am hoping and trying to add more items to my shop on Etsy as well as keeping up with family and friends through my Facebook accounts. Yes, I have more than one Facebook account, one for my personal use and the other for my business. I thought it's best to separate the two in light of what is going on in my current life. I want to focus more attention to my customers and followers and give them the respect that they all deserve.

HOUSEKEEPER BASKET

Up for your consideration is the very large Housekeeper Basket measuring at 26" L x 20" W x 13.75" H. It includes the basket, protector, product card, and a hand painted woodcrafts lid (not Longaberger). Everything is in excellent condition. The asking price for the entire set is $350.00.

As you can see in the pic below, it has four legs on the bottom and a complete wooden base for extra support.

The hand painted scene on the woodcrafts lid is absolutely beautiful with a deer, red barn, trees, and evergreens.

Oh Geese!!! I don't know what to say at this point. I've been a busy beaver with everything that has been going on in my life lately. I did visit my parents again in December 2009 and I really enjoyed spending time with the as always. I think it would of been better time spent if it hadn't been for all of the SNOW. That's right, it had already snowed there before I even arrived along with being down right cold. This winter for my parents has been a tough time and a long road ahead of them still since SPRING is a distant memory at this time.

This is a nice photo of my parents and me at the alter of their Church.

Right before I was going outside to help out my dad with firewood, I decided to do some stretching exercises. Of course, my mom had to get involved in this one. Have to hand it to her though, she tried her best to get in the positions that I was doing. She's a riot!!!

New Mexico Trip Sep/Oct 2009

OMG! Did I ever have fun with my mom, dad, and some friends. I didn't want to leave at all. I wanted to stay longer. Actually, I could of stayed a couple of more months since I came back to cold, damp, wet, and windy weather in MD. It is gorgeous in New Mexico. I'll have to add some pictures later since I am still trying to get everything together. You won't be disappointed with these pictures either. They will make you want to visit NM.

Good and/or Bad news...depends on how you want to look at it. I'm still going to New Mexico but there isn't anything that I can currently get resolved at that moment. I am told it will have to wait until October so there is no point in rescheduling my trip for something I can't do anything about at this time.

Time is getting entirely too close at this point. I'm still waiting to hear something and it should be tomorrow if anything.

I decided to just add any additional information I have to the original post. There is not need to bombard everyone with a slew of little posts.

September 7th ~
Hmmmm! I'm trying to figure out how to even put this one into words. I'll just say due to an unforeseen circumstance, I may or may not have to reschedule my trip to New Mexico.

Until then, I won't know if I will be going or not. I truly hope that this will not be the case since I have been actually packing at this point for the trip.

"Premio Meme Award" Passed On To Me By Braggin' Rights

I was "Tagged" and given the "Premio Meme Award" by Tracy Cornell, Braggin' Rights (Uses For Stuff).

For those of you that may not be familiar with how or what this means, basically I have to tell you 10 things about myself and pick 17 different blogs to pass the awards on to. Wow! This is going to be very difficult for me to do.

I was flabergasted that Tracy chose me to pass the awards on to others. Tracy creates a vass range of lovely handmade items which clearly show how much pride she takes when making them. Her items range from crochet all the way to sewing which are so very beautifully made for weddings, hair pieces, sandles, and even your little furry friends (dogs that is).

Now I have to tell you 10 things about myself and I don't even know where to begin. Let me see....I'll start with the easiest first and then move along quickly as possible (don't want to bore any of you about myself).

1. My name is Patricia Anne Evans. A good Catholic name my parents choose I assume. Speaking of my parents, they have been happily married now for over 57 years. Is that a long time or what?

2. I come from a large family with three older sisters and three olders brothers. Yes, that is right, I'm the baby as what some people are always saying. It's funny...I don't feel like a baby at my age. I also have quite a few nieces and nephews that I actually gave up on counting when I started having great nieces and nephews.

3. I've been married for over 20 years now to a loving man who has been very supportive and caring for me. He's the type that will do anything in the world to help others out as I would also do.

4. I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed 18 years of my son, David, but wish it could of been plenty more. We were both in an auto accident in 2001 but he did not survive and I am now on permanent disability. My son was very gifted and talented. So much so that he actually taught himself how to play the guitar just by listening to songs. He was able to play any song back on his guitar with no problems at all. He also loved to draw and doodle. That is why I am working on having a College Scholarship in his loving memory for the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts.

5. I have two doggies. Cheyenne is a female Shiloh Long Haired German Shepherd and Heinz is my little boy. He's named after the mixed ketchep called Heinz 57. That's right, he's a mutt but he's a very good boy compared to Cheyenne. They both have to stay downstairs...entirely too much fur to be cleaning up every single day. Actually, it would be quite a few times a day if they were upstairs. Yikes! Don't want that on my supplies, books, or leaflets.

6. Unlike Tracy, I'm can be loud. Heck! You have to be with all of my family members just to be heard or hear yourself. I can be quite though only when I want to be. Ha! Ha! Ha!

7. I unknowningly learned embroidery and crewel in Elementary School as an assigned project. I still have the originally designed sketch that I drew but don't have a clue where the actual needlework went to. I think the school still has it.

8. I'm a self-taught Fiber Arts Artists that are original designs or made from patterns that include cross-stitch, embroidery, and sewing. I'm still trying to learn all of the techniques for Needle Felting but am already loving it.

9. Due to my disabilities, I haven't made much of my Fiber Arts but I am selling a lot of my own supplies to give everyone else the opportunity to use, create, keep, or sell. I am still working out the details for the College Scholorship Fund in Loving Memory of Our Son which will include 50% of all destash items in my shop on Etsy.

Update On My Adventure...

WOOOHOOOO!!!

My flight is booked, got my rental car and I hope its the Chevy. I leave on September 24th and will arrive early enough to stop off to get something to eat before that long drive to my parents house. I'm looking forward to visiting them and some relatives, too. I was certainly wrong about TRUE friends. So not only will I be there to enjoy myself with my parents and relatives but friends as well. Your life is truly not complete unless you have family and friends to spend time with.

All of this is absolutely overwhelming for me and so exciting. I find myself actually counting the days now. I wish they would pass by a little faster but I hate to say something like that. Time goes by fast enough as it is. I still can't wait though!!!

This is going to be great! I already told my parents and now they are excited. My dad even asked if I was going to get a convertible...too funny! That is exactly what I wanted to get for my rental BUT you just never know when it might snow in New Mexico...especially where my parents live...no convertible for me. Definitely want the Malibu although I could of gone with the Impala! Hmmm! Might change my mind when I get there.

New Mexico Bound!!!

I'm so excited, anxious since I can't wait for time to actually pass by, speechless needless to say...YAHOO!!! It will be sometime in October but nothing is definite yet. I need to reorganize and reschedule a mess of things. OMG! I need to get moving to make sure I can go.

The real fun part, as some of you may already know, is just the driving from and to the airport and my parents house. I will definitely need an Angel by my side during that time. Maybe I can get one of my cousins or friends to pick me up. I don't know...can't let that get to me at this point. Nothing is going to stop me from seeing my mom and dad.

I can't even remember what the weather is like during that time. Oh gesh, I need to make phone calls, send emails, and a whole slew of other things. Excited, Excited, Excited!!!

Have My Basket Of Goodies

I told Eileen that I was going to pick up my basket and invited her to go with me. We ventured off around 8:20 a.m. She had to take pics of me receiving it. She has that pic on her blog by now, I'm sure. She had somethings to do shortly afterwords so I told her that I would wait for her to return before I go through all of the goodies.

Eileen finally returned home a little before noon. I didn't open a thing like I had promised her. We were both going to take pics but Eileen's camera needed charging. Oops! I need to send her my pics. Here is one pic showing you everything together.

I just had to rearrange things to take another pic with everything together.

I had to take a picture of the bag full of books, too.

Then we ran sacked the basket full of goodies. OMG! There are tools, fabrics, batting, patterns and gift certificates. Not to mention, the bag full of books. This is what my table looked like after we went through everything.

I did give Eileen quite a bit of things since I knew she would use them before I even had a chance. Not to mention that I wouldn't of had a chance to win this if it hadn't been for her inviting me to go to begin with. I gave her all of the thread, some books she wanted, fabric, and some other tools. I still need to go through more of the fabric since I still wanted to give her some more.

Excited, Excited, Excited!!!

Update On Our Trip

In my previous post I talked about raffles at the quilt show. I'm just so excited and overwhelmed over the fact I received a phone call from Nancy Bender. She called to let me know that I won one of the baskets at the quilt show. I really had to control myself because I could of just screamed in her ear over the fact that I actually won.

I am going to share the basket with my friend, Eileen. After all, I would of never gone if it wasn't for her inviting me to go with her. I have always wanted to learn more about the various styles and techniques of quilting and maybe I will since the baskets are plum over filled with supplies. Just can't wait to receive it.

I haven't won anything since I was a little girl. I actually feel like a little child again that was surprised with a gift or something. How silly of me but I'm still excited..

I'll have to take a picture of everything when I receive it. OMG!

My Trip From Yesterday

I'm a little late getting this on my blog but...it's better to be late than never.

My neighbor, Eileen, asked me if I wanted to go to a quilt show with her the night before. I've never been to a quilt show so thought it would be nice to go with her and see all the quilts. Perfect chance to learn more about them since Eileen is a quilter and OMG is her work ever gorgeous. I don't think I ever posted the one she gave us for Christmas last year. Gesh! I'm bad...here is a picture of it below. I just wish the pictures were better since they don't do the quilt justice at all.

I just love the blocks in this quilt since they are for every month of the year. Oh! I forgot to mention that this quilt is reversible, too. Absolutely gorgeous prints on both sides. Here are two pics of the opposite sides of this lovely quilt she had given to us. This one has the blocks with color and I'm not telling how Eileen did this either.

This is the opposite side without color. I try to reverse the side on the quilt when I gently lay it across our bed. I will cherish this quilt from Eileen forever and want to let her know again Thanks!

Now that I finally posted the lovely quilt Eileen gave to us, I'll get on with the our trip. We ventured off at 8:00 a.m. on the 17th headed to Chambersburg, PA. This quilt show was called Treasures From The Attic sponsored by the Chambersburg Quilt Guild bi-annually and has 150 members. I can't tell you how excited I was to be able to go with Eileen and to see all of the quilts. I don't even remember what time it was when we arrived but the first thing we noticed was this quaint little stream right next to the church. Isn't it lovely to see such beauty in the middle of the city?

We accidentally went in through the back door but we were there. Quilts everywhere...a dream come true for me since I absolutely love all quilts. I'm by far not a quilter but I do know how much TLC and time one puts into in making a quilt. I should of asked Eileen what was the best way to take pictures of the quilts but I forgot to so here are mine of these fabulous quilts.

The first quilt I'm wanting to show you is the one up for raffle. We both purchased one ticket. If it's meant to be, it will be the one. This quilt was created by the members of the club and if I'm not mistaken, it's all hand stitched. I'm sure Eileen will correct me on this if I'm wrong. I hope one of us wins! The drawing won't be until Sep 12th so everyone will have to wait and see until then. Isn't it just a wonderful piece of workmanship and art? The colors are truly magnificent.

This next quilt is called Star Bridal Wreath by Judith McLean. It is all machine quilted but I just love all of the vibrant colors used in this piece.

I just thought this one was so cute. Carole Rice used hand applique and hand quilting which she called Critters Dancing in the Moonlight. Just had to take a least one picture of an adorable one.

This quilt is called the Baltimore Sampler. Grace Pace hand appliqued and hand quilted this beautiful piece. I absolutely love the details of this quilt.

This was the winner in our view by far. Both of us agreed that this quilt called Butterflies with Twisted Log Cabin by Joyce Randolph should win the "Viewer's Choice" Ribbon for the large quilt. I was told part of the quilt name is actually the technique used, Pierced Triangles Twisted. The colors are wonderful and vibrant which makes it all perfect.

This picture is portions of a block at a closer view which you can see the technique and the colors used in more detail.

Now you can see with all three of these pictures why it is also called Butterflies. The border on the first picture has them in the fabric that she hand quilted and outlined butterflies again shown in the picture below which are machine quilted. What a lovely combination of colors and techniques used to make this piece.

I have plenty more pictures that I took but thought this would be plenty for this blog post. I completely forgot to mention another raffle they were having. Four laundry baskets packed full with quilting supplies from various contributing vendors with bags full of books and leaflets. We both purchased a whole yard of tickets for $5.00 in hopes that we would win.

In Loving Memory Of Our Son - David

Our son, David, had a love of music and the arts. He taught himself to play the guitar by listening to the songs and was immediately able to play it back on his guitar. He was very talented and gifted but it all came to end on May 21, 2001 due to an auto accident that the both of us were in.

I want to keep my son's memory alive by starting a College Scholarship Fund for the Music and Arts School in Hagerstown, MD. With this said, I am going to donate 50% of my supplies sales from my shop to establish and start this Scholarship in hopes that another gifted person will have the opportunity to pursue their dream.

I just had to take a few more pics of my clematis. They are in full bloom now but still have several buds remaining. I took these yesterday. I wish I was able to get better shots of these. I was standing on another slope while the wind was blowing over 30 mph. I wanted to get these before the wind blew them all off.

I am literally going crazy anymore these days! Believe it or not, I still haven't finished cleaning and organizing my craft/supply room not to mention my office. I have created more of a mess than what I began with. Everything is scattered all over the second floor even into the foyer and bedrooms...ARGH! You can't even walk through the foyer at this point in time. Back in my earlier years, I guess you would of called me a craft collectaholic.

I haven't finished my Tulip pinkeep since I am plum exhausted. Been moving the sewing machine from one place to another trying to get it situated somewhere so I am able to use it in the proper manner and be comfortable at the same time. Haven't had much luck on that issue UG!

On a lighter note, I previously showed pics of my Clematis along the front sidewalk. I just had to go outside to relieve some of my frustration I had yesterday. It finally stopped raining during the day so I wanted to show you a few more pics of the "blooming Clematis" that seemed to occur over night...

The first two pics are when the flowers were just starting to open up. I just love when I am able to catch a little bit of the petals just starting to open. Isn't this just a lovely sight?

Here is another getting ready to bloom.

The next few pics are several different shots of the Clematis in full bloom. They look so lovely against the stone facing of our house with the vibrant rich purple color.

As you can see from the next pic, there are several more buds that haven't even began to open up. I can't wait to see all of them at once. As long as the next rain storm we are suppose to have later today doesn't ruin them.

This is another project that I started last fall. It's another flower bed, of course, along the front of my house. Here are the Alliums (bulbs) that are blooming already. Again, they are purple. Can you tell that is my favorite color?

This is the rest of the flower bed that I need to finish up. Seeing that I have the plants already! The deciduous and evergreens shrubs look quite small for now but they will grow up to 6 feet tall. This flower bed is along my front porch which is 13 ft above ground on one side.

I decided to take a few more pics of what I have accomplished over the past three years since we had our house built. This is THAT slope I keep talking about...the beginning of it that is.

Just moving to the left a little. As you can see, I still have plenty of work to do. Weeds, weeds, and more weeds not to mention the rocks we grow here every time it rains!

My Doggies!!!

I finally took an updated pic of my two doggies.

The larger one is Cheyenne weighing in at 90 lbs and stands taller than 5 ft on her hind legs. She is a Long Haired Shiloh German Shepherd. Believe it or not her color is Sable...if you run your hand in the opposite direction of her fur...Sable is the color that actually shows up!!! I won't tell you what I actually call her but some of you already know that...she is highly jealous, high strung, and too smart for her own good. She is all wet in this pic because she likes to head dive into their water bucket. "Apple Bobbin so to speak but for her freesbies."

The smaller one is Heinz weighing in at 70 lbs and stands only chest high on his hind legs. Little Man is a solid mass of muscle. The two dominant breeds in him are German Shepherd and Chow but he has 40 others, too. That's why we call him Heinz for Heinz 57 ketchup!!! He is the complete opposite of Cheyenne...all lovey-dovey and enjoys balls and ropes to fetch. He is really a very good doggie and I enjoy him the most (hate to say that). It won't be long before I will have to take Heinz to get his fur shaved all off. He gets entirely too hot during the summer!!! I'll have to take another pic once that is done...completely different looking little guy.

Both of them have to stay in the basement because they are fur balls!!! I would have fur all over the place if they weren't in the basement. Thank Goodness for me!!! It's bad enough to clean the basement...don't want to even imagine what it would be like to have to clean 2 more levels with all of that fur.

Clematis Taking Over

I forgot to show everyone the front of my gargage. I have Clematis growing up these trellis. They are overtaking the area and I'm just going to have to transplant some of the other plants...Nandina...somewhere else. Have plenty of places where they can go! I just hope this crazy weather we've been having doesn't mess up the awesome amount of buds on my Clematis. I can't wait to see them bloom....purple in color!

Live And Learn...

I always believe that Honest is the Best Policy...with that said, I want to let everyone know that I finished the Tulip Pinkeep BUT I am not satisfied with how it came out. So, I will not be adding it to my shop until I am completely satisfied with my work.

I asked my neighbor, Eileen, for her comments and suggestions. Unfortunately, the size of the piece is so small that I should of used just the cutter quilt top and not the entire section of the cutter quilt. The thickness of the cutter quilt did not allow my pinkeep to take the correct shape. I will be creating a new one with just the cutter quilt top along with a few added tips from my neighbor.

You should check out her blog on my list under My Quilting Porch. She is an excellent quilter and her work is gorgeous!!!

My Patio...

This is the patio that I designed for our home. Of course, hubby and I just didn't have the time to actually do the work so we had no choice but to hire a company...actually two!!! The entrance starts from our driveway shown in the pic below. I just had to incorporate flower beds but wish I would of done things a little different. It's too late for that though. The entire patio has a stone wall all around and...

...I wanted irregular flagstone for the actual patio. These are very large and heavy and I just couldn't believe how fast the crew was able to move these around...like they were nothing!!!

This next pic shows the flagstone a little better as I move forward.

Well, I had to show you the opposite view of my design. Of course, everything isn't set up since we know we won't be having any company over any time soon.

I had to add a section for my hubby's grills. He has two grills and a smoker which he hasn't brought up yet. It needs some work to be done it.

Projects Galore!!!

Have several projects going on at once...my head is spinning!!!

I am still trying to finish the lil Tulip Pinkeep...more difficult because of its size. I will need to completely hand sew that one.

Started another cross-stitch picture. It is sooo cute...perfect for any decor in your house!!! Can't show a pic yet...not any near for that.

Also working or another summer decor for any where in your house or a covered porch...will have lights on it, too.

In addition to creating and making all of the above, I am still working outside in the flower beds or at least what should be flower beds.

Almost forgot...I took these pics of the Cherokee Dogwwod that was given to my hubby and me in Memory of Our Son, David. My ex-co-workers are the ones that gave it to us. Dogwood trees were our son's favorite tree. The flowers start as a light pink and then turn dark like the pics below shortly afterwords.
I'm happy that I was able to get these pics since they were the only two blooms left on the tree. I just can't believe that I didn't notice them before since I sit on our screen porch everyday and this lovely tree is right in front of my view.

My Massive Undertaking...

I sure hope you can see these lil blueish purple flowers in this pic. They are stepables. I have them in between my step leading up to my shed and you can actually walk on them and won't hurt the perennial at all.

Here are some other little perennials I have that are blooming or getting ready to bloom along the steps.

All of my steps leading up to my shed...this was...should say still is...a massive undertaking. As you can see, the ground is on a slope and I am having to, so to speak, plant boulders in the ground (3/4 of the boulder, that is) to help with the run off. This section is over 20 ft up but the slope runs over 100 ft long. I'm not anywhere near being finished on this project. Thank goodness for my John Deere tractor. That's what I use to get the boulders onto the slope. I need to add more spring blooming flowers and bulbs since it looks somewhat bare. The majority of the plants are summer blooming perennials and evergreens for now. Still more to be done!!!

A Few Pics of Some of My Flowers

This is just one of my Azalea's I have in my garden. Have very little shade so I can't have too many shade loving plants. It has tiny buds all over it and I can't wait to watch them turn into blooms. This is a Encore which blooms 2-3 times a year. Wonderful to have a few of these to add some color to shady areas.

I was lucky to catch some of my phlox. They aren't mature enough but when they do grow I sure hope they will droop over my stone walls. That would look just awesome seeing purple and white flowers draping over as you are pulling in my driveway.

I'm so surprised this little Bleeding Heart has made it. Yaw see, I dug it up from our old house before we moved, planted it in a flower pot, & it was amongst the trees down in the wood line for 2 years. I just planted it last year and it is still beautiful but a lil smaller than before. Oh well, it will grow larger overtime.

Cameo Flowering Quince

I am so glad that I walked past this deciduous plant this morning. I missed it bloom last year but surprisingly enough it is already blooming. I guess the summer like weather just shot those blooms right out!!! I just had to share these photos with everyone. This beautiful plant is called "Cameo" Flowering Quince and I hate to say this but I will need to move it somewhere else. It has gotten pretty large since I planted it only a year and half ago.

I just love the clusters of flowers all along the branches. The bees just love them!!! I had to be very cautious in taking these pictures since I'm allergic to bees. I have more pics to come later. I've been so busy cleaning out my neighbors leaves out of my flower beds, I almost missed a lot of my plants blooming or starting to bloom.

A Beautiful Day!!!

Today was absolutely gorgeous!!! We were in the mid 70's so I just had to go outside and play in my flower bed...more like cleaning them all up!

I decided to get my camera and take some pictures before the sun set behind the mountain. All of these pics are from our front porch at different angles. This one is somewhat a side view on our porch. Just look at the sun's rays beaming down across the trees. It is just beautiful.

The next picture is taken straight ahead from our front porch. The sky is sooo blue with white and the mountains are clear.

I decided to try to take a picture directly into the sun before it went down. This is from the corner of our porch. I'm actually surprised that it even came out. Isn't it just lovely.
This last pic is from the other corner of our porch facing our driveway towards the road. Here you can see the Thuja Green Giants that my hubby and I have been planting over the past couple of years. They may look small in this picture but believe me they are huge!!!

I'm just so excited about the little pinkeep that I am making!!! I just have to show everyone some of the items I will be using to create this adorable primitive piece.

Below is a vintage antique piece of a quilt and I can't leave out the little vintage antique wooden spool. The spool even has some of the original thread on it in purple just like the colors of the tulips on my design. The bottom portion of the pinkeep will be a section of the cutter quilt with the top being, of course, my design. It will all be prim and perfect for your home decor.

I will have to make sure that I include the purple portion of this lovely piece of quilt in my creation.

Little Insight on Needlework...

I just wanted to give everyone a little insight into the world of Needlework. Cross-stitch, needlepoint, embroidery or any other type of needlework is very time consuming and tedious which requires a lot of patience. For instance, the amount of time invested to design and create my Needlework Design for Mother's Day (listed below) was approximately 20 hours . Yes, that is correct.

So please, when you see an Artist's Needlework, just remember how much time and effort it took to provide you with the beauty of their work.

I finally remembered to take a pic of the frame for the Needlework design that I have been working on. This frame is handcrafted but not by my hubby or me, unfortunately. It is brown but in the next pic you will see how the color changes.

Finally, I have finished my original design for Mother's Day. I added the frame behind the Needlework just to show you a lil contrast.

Here is another pic with the frame on top of my Needlework design. I hope the picture comes out just as nice on my shop as it does here. If you look closely, you can see a lil hint of gold coming through the frame with my design behind it. As you can see, I still need to frame it and put it on my shop.

Update On Original Designs--

Well, I realized that I'm not going to have enough time to finish both Mother's Day designs that I have created. (in time to place them on my shop anyway.) I decided to do a Father's Day original design instead. I have already created the design so once I finish my one Mother's Day design, I'll start on the Father's Day one.

You are probably asking...Why...it is very difficult for me to do my Needlework since my auto accident in 2001. I had nerve damage in my left hand ever since the accident and now I have nerve damage in both hands so I'm doing the best I can. At least I am trying and I will continue to do so!!!

Thuja Green Giants

OMG...Today was gorgeous except for the wind. I couldn't stand not being outside so I just had to get myself involved in removing grass which we have very little to begin with...just so I can finish my plantings of Thuja Green Giants along the front of my property. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to plant them today due to the down pouring of rain we had yesterday. The ground was entirely to wet. So I just continued to remove all of the grass and roots not to mention all those rocks that we grow here on top of the mountain side.

Everything is ready now for the planting of these evergreens that are 8 ft tall now. Hubby is going to have to help me cause I can't do it myself. I'll have to take some pics once the area is all completed. Right now it's a big mess....

I did do some of my stitching this morning before I went outside. My design is coming along but not soon enough for me.

I always forget to take my camera outside with me...don't want it to get dirty with me playing in the dirt. Hopefully, I'll just take a few pics before I do anything.

Attract The Beauty In Butterfies Or Hummingbirds!!!

Let's look down at the opening of the pot and think of a clock. Going Clock Wise from the outside edge of container & starting at 12:00, plant A, A, B, C, D, C, E, & F; From inside at 12:00 again plant G then at 8:00 plant H. Then you are done...it's that easy!!!

Forgot To Blog???

Oh my goodness...I didn't realize how long it's been since my last posting. Well, I've been a busy beaver so to speak. For a few months, I have been organizing and taking inventory of my craft room and den. Unfortantely, it has taken longer than I expected. Too many things!!! It seems that days turn into nights and nights turn into days. Before I know it, weeks have gone past.

I actually feel like I am doing spring cleaning. My organizing has taken me into the entire house now. Would you believe that I still have Christmas Decorations up in my house? I think I may have taken on entirely too much.

Even though I have been busy, I actually took time out to create two original designs that I am hoping to make very soon. I am so pleased how the creations turned out and I am looking forward to offering them in my shop. Both designs have a primitive look to them but can actually be incorporated into other decor. Here's my hint to you...Mother's Day!!!

I am already thinking of others things to design and make so I will be very busy. Just hope to finally finish this organization of my house. Although, I do believe I have created more of mess than anything.

It was very nice outside for a couple of days so I took advantage of enjoying the outdoors. My other passion is gardening. I love to design landscapes plans that I incorporate into my property. There is still a lot of things to do but I still have time. The temperatures have dropped and today it is raining so I'm back indoors cleaning and organzing.

My Mini Vacation

Yes, that's right...my mini vacation. My sisters, brother, and I all went out West to visit our parents. We all really enjoyed the quality time spent with each other especially with our Mom and Dad. I just love hearing the lil stories my Dad tells us about the Good Olde Days and Times Gone Bye. Then roaming thru old black and white pictures listening to my Dad telling us who is who and when and where. For me, it was entirely too short of a visit. Wish it could of been longer but who knows...my hubby and I might go later this year!

While I was there, I took advantage of taking pictures of some of my handmade items that I had given to my parents.

~~The "Lord's Prayer" is all cross-stitched with black lettering along with a beautiful colored Dove. Since I used a dark green decorative stitch in the upper right corner and in the bottom middle of the picture, I coordinated it with the mat I custom fit for the picture and frame. It was difficult taking this picture since it is under glass...kept getting reflections of lights and myself.

~~The photo below are 4 southwestern coasters I designed and cross-stitched. After all, my parent do live in the West.What would be more perfect than that?
